Rehabbing from Long Distances?

What is your process for rehabilitating properties from long distances?

I am a Registered Architect currently living and working overseas. I have begun transitioning my career to real estate investing. The BRRRR strategy has caught my interest and shall likely be my primary strategy moving forward on long term and mid term rentals. One aspect of the BRRRR strategy that escapes me is how to rehabilitate properties from long distances. I have nearly zero connections within my network for many of the locations that I am investigating. I have read "Buy, Rehab, Rent, Refinance, Repeat" and currently working through "Long Distance Real Estate Investing"; each by David Greene.

Appreciate your thoughts and thank you for your feed back.
