Current non-resident (green card holder) looking to invest

Hi BPeeps,

My name is Eimer, my husband and I are currently on a posting in Indonesia and plan to return in 2026 to the Colorado area. We are interested in getting a head start on our "new lives" and want to get a few multifamilies in the US this year. Is there anyone on here that has experience with non-residents investing? Any tips, pointers, things to avoid or watch out for would be very much welcomed.
