SFR price and rent expectations
Newbie question. Broadly speaking, is it realistic to think one could purchase a SFH for $50k - $100k and rent the property for $1000 - $2000 per month?
Not looking at any geography in particular. Just a general ball park question. Thank you.

These deals are difficult to find thanks to the crazy sales market the last two years, but it will come back eventually. You'll want to look in the "flyover" states like Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, etc. Be careful with this. Some rentals look like they make crazy money on paper, but they lose a ton in reality due to high evictions, high crime, heavy abuse, broken leases, theft, and more. C- or D-class properties in Cleveland for example.
