Creating a Rental Policy/Procedures Binder
Hello BP Community!
I recently purchased my first property (a side-by-side duplex that I am currently house-hacking) and finished Brandon and Heather Turner's book, "The Book on Managing Rental Properties". In the book, multiple times the authors stressed the importance of putting together a policy binder for your rentals.
While I feel like I have a good grasp on the understanding of how I run my house-hack so far, one never knows when their last day on earth will be. If I were to pass away, I would want my fiancé to be able to refer to a policy binder so that everything regarding the rental was all in one place for her, and would feel comfortable knowing how to run the rental herself.
I am wondering if anyone has a template policy binder they have created and are willing to share? I am working to create my own, but as I am new to land-lording, would appreciate any advice/help on this issue.
Thank you in advance!
Noah
