Macon, Ga Contractors
Hello BP Family,
I am days away from the closing of my first investment property. I am having trouble finding contractors who have a portfolio in the Macon, Ga area. I have searched the platform here on BP and I am having trouble generating any leads and I am for certain they are in the area or they have those who are close who travel to that area. I live in Atlanta and I have job that I have during the week which makes it quite difficult to use the technique of going to Home Depot or other locations in the morning to find leads. Can anyone share any advice or leads of contractors who service in the Macon, GA area. Thank you all in advance.
Respectfully,

Hey Scott, I've worked with a lot of contractors in Macon and it took me a while to find some "good" ones.
It really depends on two things,
1. Do you want/need someone licensed and insured?
2. What is the scope of work that you need to be done?
1a. There are plenty of great contractors that do amazing work, but is side business for them. So they are not insured.
2a. The biggest headache I had was the scope of work being "too much".
Sharing pictures of what your project is currently like, will eliminate the meetings where contractors turn away.
(Which is completely fair.)
Local Facebook pages and Google Local is a great place to start.
Even better, if you are in the area. Drive around the downtown neighborhoods and your neighborhood.
Start in Downtown at 12:00 and the neighborhoods around 1:00.
There are tons of homes being flipped in Macon right now. You are bound to see a contractor's trucks getting lunch or a crew at a job site.
Walk up to them and ask. That's how I found my contractors.
