Closed my first investment property!

Trascia Daniel
Posted

I closed my first investment property today and it was quite the journey getting there. This property is a newly renovated duplex that I plan to hold.

The deal took over 4 months to come to fruition. Evey obstacle that could have happened... happened. The was all due to the seller not being transparent with the time frames to complete the work. It got to the point that we canceled the deal back in December. Three days after cancelation, the seller agreed to pay any extension fees I would incur to keep the deal going.

When we were almost at the end, there were issues with getting the township to come out to complete final inspections to close the permits and issue the CO.

Finally, last week everything was completed and closing was scheduled. Today, I am officially a real estate investor. I am even more motivated now to keep this going. On to the next!

I just wanted to share my story to give hope to new investors out there. Don't give up even when things get tough and always do your due diligence.
