College Student Looking to Invest
Hey Everyone! I've just joined BP and have already learned a lot. Thank you in advance to any help you guys can give me.
I'm currently a senior in college and am planning on going into real estate investment as my full-time career. Over the past couple of years I've gotten my real estate license, as well as read several books on flipping houses and investing in commercial real estate. My dad also works in real estate, so I'm fairly familiar with it.
My question is this: Do you guys think it would be unwise to go directly into flipping houses or buying to rent and hold full-time after college? I'm trying to figure out if it would make sense to find a more steady job to produce some income and to do real estate on the side, or if I should devote all of my time to investing. I know investing is what I want to do, yet I have some fear that I could end up in a bad place without a secondary source of income.
I'd be interested to hear what worked or didn't work for any investors out there that started at a young age.
