brokerage marketing plan

I am in the process of joining a new brokerage, Brick and Mortar Realty, in an up and coming area, Newburgh NY. I am trying to see how other brokers and salespeople are marketing their services. Obviously people are advertising on Zillow and Trulia but I'm looking for some more creative ideas. Where have you had the best response rates and ROI? What have you done that is setting you apart from all the noise in your market?
