LLC, S Corp, C Corp etc etc

Hey anyone know what really would be the best form of security when it comes to applying for a paticular corporation or LLc or whatever. I'd like to know I have security and tax advantages in place. Solo business owner.
Some say S Corp to start, I've heard others say LLC, it's just too confusing.
