If that's not enough, the complicated and painful history of this town, the geography of a city that is built in hollows and ravines and on hillsides and flood plains (the city of Pittsburgh has more bridges than the city of Venice), and the dilapidated infrastructure of the city often means that the neighborhoods can change wildly in value in a street or two.The duplex/triplex thing similarly annoys me because there are all kinds of duplexes and triplexes out here.

You cannot tell them to take children to a public swimming pool, have them run at the park, get them outside to play but we all know that when children have healthy exercise they don't go wild indoors, they read a book or grandmother reads to them...If the downstairs tenant works from home this can be bad for them and create stress.I like the idea of offering them to switch units but the upstairs tenants aren't going to want to do the neighbor downstairs a favor.
