When it was smaller I was able to manage all of the lease details, rent increases, certificates of insurance, maintenance schedules, cams etc. using XL and my accounting team use the basic package of sage.

Knowing your goals, sticking to a strategy and working with the right team is key, at least from an LP (limited partner) standpoint, which is how I invest in multifamily.

If you believe you are proficient in analyzing a deal and created a good team then you I personally believe you are ready because there are a lot of things that you will learn while doing.

If you have the team in place and the funds ready, I do not think you should wait at all.
