I agree with @Dawn Anastasi - a really bright color, like a crimson or cobalt blue or a kelly green, or a very dark color such as very dark brown or even black will pull the focus away from the -ahem- neutral milky chocolatey poopy brown glaze.

yea i'd stick to a black and white themeunless i was up to changing appliances & countertop.make sure to sand down paint well and if oil WHITE paint make sure its not the type that dries/ages to yellowish

Some discrimination is certainly illegal, but the rest of it isn't necessarily black and white.Like I said in my previous post, everyone has their own set of business ethics (I used the term "moral compass," but again, I hate that term when it comes to business) -- yours might be different than mine, and that's certainly okay.
