You might try an email saying that he is responsible for rent until you get another tenant,  the sooner he responds to confirm he is gone the sooner you can start focusing on finding another replacement tenant.   

But that does not mean you're required to respond to him even via writing.

@Wayne BrooksWhile I agree with you, I was responding to the  question of the agent commissions are non-negotiable. 

As you get more comfortable her you may find your self responding to and asking questions and sending private messages and networking.

I keep checking my email thinking they may have responded as I have never been this excited before in my life other than learning how to ride a bike, and my first born child!
