I think if you are looking for a software to keep track of income and expense and generate reports, quickbooks offer a version for landlord that can do all that for you.

It's just another version of equity sharing.

After listening to the podcast, I watched a few YouTube videos and read a ~60 page PDF from Dave Van Horn on Real Estate Note Investing, which I found through a google search, so I’m not sure if it’s the full version of the book sold on here or not.

Short version, it's a mixed ownership model for STR/Transient accommodations.

If it's true that a new and comparable model would sell for $20K, I can't imagine a 35 year old version would be worth more than a couple thousand dollars.

I know the newer versions of windows have a step by step guide, thats how I learned.

If your really interested go to one of the Note buying conventions in Vegas ... for a few grand you will get a condensed version..
