They repainted the buildings to modern colors, re-roofed them, did a lot of work with the utility meters and moved them into these bump-outs attached to the buildings (rather than stuck to the side like an eyesore) and patched up/repainted the parking lot.

These things literally never happen in construction.....and it is almost always the customers fault....changes to materials, colors, fixtures, etc....So I would focus on finding a great Contractor to work with and be uber-clear in your desires on the project.

i know i don't want to over complicate this and streamline the process as much as i can. i may try doing the google maps just to make it simple and also adding a image too the pin on the map because google maps is not always current.
