I wish the Department of Health would accept private provider plan reviews for septic tank permits.  

Similarly, looking up deeds of trust, licenses, or other public loan documents, as is often recommended here, will only confirm that the company exists - not that you are speaking to a legitimate representative.

If you don't already have boots-on-the-ground and a trusted network, it's going to be tougher to do.

I'm sure Pace is smarter than me when it comes to real estate, but I don't have $5000 worth of trust in his ethics.
