The only other way around this is a 1031 exchange which doesn’t actually prevent the seller from paying them, it only delays when they get paid.

The city has tagged both units as uninhabitable, but allows entry to retrieve belongings (it has heavy damage but is not in danger of falling down).To add to the saga, their credit is far worse than it was when we placed them in our unit due to the husband having chronic back issues that have prevented him from doing his job full time.

I am not exactly sure how the process of divorce works in detail, which is preventing me from coming up with more specific questions about what to ask for, like:-what to make sure is already done in terms of paperwork-has a lawyer been involved or not (I'm assuming yes, otherwise I won't be getting leads)-how different it is from other types of leads in terms of process and selling the home-etc...Any help from someone who has dealt with recently divorced leads is greatly appreciated.
