It's not proper remediation, it's illegal to not do proper remediation and if you think selling a remediated house might be a stain on your reputation, try selling one where you claim to have remediated it but haven't (which is what this advice is).Meth is nasty, nasty stuff causing advanced and rapid neurological damage in children and pets and slower, but no less advanced neurological damage in adults.

We have used the shellac/varnish approach fairly successfully with pet odors on concrete floors too.In your case, with the house already painted, if you can find the ozone generator, I'd give that a shot...Kurt

Not really sure what your goal is in regards to making your life more difficult.There is no logic in a pet owner buying a rattle snake to experience a snake bite.If you want to do section 8 modify your screening for that purpose, concentrate on credit history and previous landlords as most on welfare are not measured by income.
