Unfortunately there competitiveness in the market and cut throat antics give the other offices (company) a bad name.

We now invest in the Detroit market place where we have established a great team on the ground and are finding properties with great numbers.

The broker/owner, team lead, or seasoned agent could help another agent that is new in the business just like I did when I got into the business, I got a mentor to help me through gaining market share and how to do it.

I couldn't save enough money for a down payment on my first real estate investment. 

The property sat on the market for a month before an offer came in, but the buyer backed out at closing.

And now their plan is to take this failed business model to Detroit, perhaps the highest risk real estate market in the country?

With that said Phoenix had one of the highest home price declines in the last market down turn.  

For my money, I'd look there and let the market bring you up.
