It is no different of an abused child growing up to have violent tendencies.

I could imagine large scale abuses of this, if it was allowed.You and I would not buy in rent control areas, but why are you trying to undercut those that are following the rules and side with someone that is trying to break them.

You may be able to tell if they were rusted/falling apart or if they were torn off by abuse.

The exception may be if you personally witnessed an abusive event ... and then it would probably have to be physical abuse before most authorities would take any action (policy forces and the judicial system are just starting to understand other forms of abuse {emotional, financial, etc} ).

Brianna:Banks will try to muscle you into submitting your taxes along with your mortgage payments - here they'll also try to sell you {life/disability} insurance to cover the mortgage in the event you are hit by a bus - however, they cannot force you to pay your taxes through them.

It would have been cheaper to buy him a bus ticket to the town of his choice, give him some cash for his vacation and bid him farewell....although from the sounds of it, this guy would have preferred to continue on right where he was...there is often no way to reason with mental illness, drugs or just plain stupidity.

Paying for a tenants abuse of utilities will drive up your rental rate or you will just loose money.

Don't abuse it, but even an hour with a lawyer or CPA will show you that you don't even know what you don't know.

I also have a tenant abuse clause in my leases that holds the tenant liable for the full cost of repairs or damage due to tenant abuse.
