I think you need to decide if you are the kind of person who wants a paid off house for security or if they want to keep as much cash in investments (stock market / realestate/other) to try to maximize returns (historically you would make out better doing this).

They are investors who don't have the time or interest to maximize the full potential in real estate but they want to be diversified in it.Ultimately, I think turnkey is a great business model and can provide a great value to the right type of investor.

On the flip side if you see a .9% listing where the place looks completely maximized you can just ignore the listing unless you feel you can negotiate a lower price.
