I purchased in the North End years ago (like you, long distance from Vancouver) and had all kinds of problems with tenants and the PM (long story involving Mexico, cocaine, and a bunch of my money disappearing plus, as a bonus, a standoff with police that was bad enough that it made the national news at the time).
