Hello all,I am looking for a good custom cabinet shop/carpenter that can install custom/semi-custom cabinets (plywood,usa made) for a fair price in the Atlanta area. 

I have experience buying at auctions in NJ, but the system here in CA is fairly different.

For example if your family occupies two apartments of a 4 unit building, you could each offset your costs with the other two units, and it's still fair for everyone.  

I am fairly new to BP and in search of my first acquisition.

Karen, I would bet that the capital improvements are going to raise the fair market value of the property by as much as, and probably more than, they are going to increase the basis.

You also don't understand business ethics with respect to valuing your services or fair dealing that is required with real property.If someone has a $25,000 Ford and you can buy it for $12,500, it's much more of an acceptable deal if that's what the seller will take.

Interest rate and equity ownership can all be negotiated, however does anyone have a guideline to follow that is fair?
