Have saved up about $100k+, could be more if I sell off some stock, and am looking at the Bronx as a market (maybe nearby NJ, but have heard it can be tough with property tax so high in NJ).

Life gets hectic sometimes and they're only little for a short time. 

Susan - The short answer is normally the liens are wiped out by the tax sale, and subsequent quiet title lawsuit. 

If I were you, I would make my primary short term objective to analyze as many deals as possible to understand what is out there to come up with a realistic target.

Long story short, I finally got a house under contract after two years of following bigger pockets and being interested in real estate so I am excited about my progress!

I am in short term vacation rentals currently, but I'd like to expand to other asset classes, such as Multi-family, SFR, and Long Term Rentals.

I would guess that the short term future will continue to be a Fix and Flip for homes or a quick flip. 

These are the people most likely to use sub 800sf and would find a short-term lease desirable.

Wow a lot of projects on the go, I'm not afraid of hard work as it usually offers much better returns, only exception being Amazon as I probably would've made more just investing in the stock in 2013 compared to selling on the platform!
