So are you saying you have the right to express an insulting, overbearing, ignorant, ridiculous question, clearly meant to ridicule the people who have just been financially injured, and you don't think it deserves a response? 

I would explain to them your process of handling requests, response times, property inspections, and so on.

Based on your description, if you take on responsibilities such as decorating, marketing, bookings, and bookkeeping, you could potentially meet the hours required, even with a property manager handling on-site tasks like maintenance.
