Looking for where to start.....I have researched and read many books on foreclosurers, I have also found websites like www.nhmsi.com that list REO properties.

One of my favorites is working with referral sources.

I've read a few books and been through various forums on real estate investing to get educated.Now I'm just as excited as the next guy/gal, but what gives me a moment of pause is not having to talk to a seller or looking like an idiot while putting a "creative deal" together.

I came to the work as a grantwriter and program developer and started attending meetings, reading books and learning the business from the perspective of the professional investor.

It will largely tell you everything you need to know about MH deals.Even if you want to work on the program above the book will fill in many of the gaps and help you be much more effective.John Corey

I've read books that say....be a straight shooter with everyone you deal with in REI since it's those relationships that will make your future deals even more successful.

Read robert kiyosaki book on Tax Loopholes, i read it and formulated a list of questions to ask a CPA when i find one to see if they are still applicable today... jus a few examples are decpreciation (unsure on how exactly it works but i understand the concept), some rules on capital gain and how to avoid it.
