Has electricity, septic, running water, etc on both floors.I think my biggest problem will be the difficulty of doing the work, staying under budget, and not having the house look "weird".

The property inspection report shows some defects in the Electrical, heating system, and AC duct defect.I will need a plumber, AC technician, and Electrician to look into the issues.

It had already had full electric throughout and the basement is only about 4 feet below grade so the space we made into the bedroom had 3 full size windows to satisfy the egress requirements. 

Elevated homes often convert ground level areas to bunk rooms or spare rooms but there are not insurable and the only things covered will be your electric and water heater in those areas.What many do is leave the concrete flooring and paint, use greenboard for the walls and raise items off the floor using risers or bricks. 

Besides, the estimates for certain jobs in plumbing and electric differ from contractor to contractor so its best to just leave it to the property management to deal with them

So for now I was going to househack this until I can build more units and add different metering units for water, electrical etc.

Is there no electricity going to these units until the rewire is complete?

I realized electrical and plumbing fittings/sizes in mobile homes are unique so had to work through the challenge of finding the right materials.

All new plumbing, HVAC, electrical, garage floor, basement has been gutted and completely waterproofed.
