Last week, we went and picked up some stuff in another state to bring to the house and when we got back to the house it was very late and we decided to sleep there although there were no beds, it was easier than driving to my current house that the lease hasn't ended on yet.

There's nothing wrong with having enough money that you can afford to maintain a vacation home for yourself.The only thing is, you would have to be able to use it a lot, or it would make more sense to rent.Personally, it creeps me out to think of renting my vacation home out and having lots of different tenants sleeping in my bed.I'm looking at a winter home right now.

i.e. sleep in, walk to campus, no bus rides or parking hassles, stumble home drunk from the bars, etc.My leases are from August 1 to July 31, basically the school year.
