Currently I'm in the process of reading books/forum discussion posts, so any book recommendations or suggestions on particularly helpful threads to read would be much appreciated.First off, I'm a college student in Minneapolis with 1-2 years left of my undergraduate degree remaining. for 2015-2016 I will be living in a house near the university, but once my lease is up, my mom plans on helping me to finance my own place (apartment or small house).

i just did that and hated it (maybe cause 2 weeks after they left, i am still looking for a tenant). started 3.5 weeks before they moved. they were cleaned, but hated all the traffic that came through. then they were even telling the new clients that they are inconveniencing them!!

You have to interview buyers under the time constraint of the purchase contract...and you might not find a buyer, might find buyers that have criteria that doesn't match what you found, might find only buyers that aren't real, or find a real buyer only at the last minute that knows there is a gun to your head and you have no negotiating power.A better approach is to align yourself with a couple of really solid, active, no-nonsense buyers.
