There are quite a few guide books that contractors and builders use that you can buy yourself.

But I'm am now wondering if you guys can recommend some books that one has to have read to start buying real estate, I'll want to hold my real estate for a long time to generate cash flow and I am not in to quick deals/spekulation.

I've purchased a govt book on grants and been on grants.gov, but I don't see anything for a woman like myself interested in beginning a notes-purchasing business.Have any of you gotten $$ for a notes business?

I just feel like giving them one of my 20 books I bought then see how bad they want to learn.

I call this site my bible.I've learned so much and I've met a few interesting people.I now feel confident enough to a deal instead of sitting on my couch and reading rei books......THANKS BIGGER POCKETS..

Wichita Falls. i kinda felt like i been asleep for 21 yrs until i found that book it's kind of funny.

My grandparents added me to a couple of their cards when I started college so I could pay for books and incidentals.

They have 3 books out.

So I have been reading books, finding mentors, and taking this opportunity to learn more while I pay down my financial indiscretions.

*Read as many RE books as I can get my grubby hands on.
