We use buildium for our property management software, this allows us to screen tenants and bill the screening back to them.

If you have significant savings (on top of the down payment amount obviously) or investments/assets that you can readily liquidate, a lender will be more likely to approve your loan application. 

The operations aspect using remote management and software for a majority of tasks in a self storage business and renting is right up my alley as I currently work for a real estate tech company in operations/sales.

Is that software capable of meeting that need?

I used to do my own taxes with software but I am anticipating they will be a bit more complicated, as I purchased my first property (a duplex) as a house hack in October 2019.

Hi @Wesley Quinn, property managers are worth their weight in gold and ultimately, they are the means by which you can scale in real estate.Here are some recommendations on how to find a property manager:1) Google and Yelp to see what the available universe of managers is2) Call the owners of comparable properties to see how they use and get referrals3) Qualify your list by whether or not they have experience in managing the kind of asset that you plan to buy and how professional they are e.g. do they have a team, do they employ software like appfolio, building etc4) Property management works best when you ‘asset manage’ them so don’t plan to be completely hands off.
