@Patrick Britton is right about the challenges of getting into appraisal and the fact that you just do not make very much money in your early years.

With the current code trying to build a triplex in that same spot can be challenging, not to mention the current cost of lumber.

Our challenge is that we do not have the finances to buy here in CA....and our situation at the moment does permit us to qualify for a loan.

Most challenging piece is finding the owner or finding properties that are owned by individuals than companies.

There will also be a lot of competition in the more popular vacation areas.

I don't know if it is popular however based on my conversation it seems to be in the path of progress.

Without having a tremendous network of professional contacts in my desired market already established, I'm finding there to be a little challenge in growing this network remotely, though I know this is an important aspect in getting to the next stage in investing.Lots more questions, but I'll start there.
