You can get 10k for a large 4/3 in town.Anytime you find a major event happening, you will find people doing just this.Now, you do need to empty out the house to some degree.

Going from home, to not dorming at college, to still living at home (all in the middle of COVID), to then being a home-owner, seems like I am missing out on the social aspect of living arrangements, if that makes sense.  

College students are abundant in that vicinity and more willing to take on the trials and tribulations that come with it.

He just graduated from college and is living at home saving up for a down payment and I'm saving up for a wedding, but I also make enough to save for beyond how much we intend to spend for the wedding.

raising kids is a 25k a year per  if not more fixed over head :)  if your going to pay for their college like I did. and even worse now that was back when good college was 12 to 15k a year all in.
