if not i understand. please let me know.I been hearing lately of a major investment in the mall and a ferry that is going to serve the county from making trip from/to nyc. there is more news but i dont know if its appropriate for me to mention it here.

Martin: Some thoughts...If you're going to be an absentee investor, the main focus of your trip should be to find a trusted advisor, more than trying to learn the market.

Think of it in terms of packing for a trip.

If you're seriously thinking about investing there, you need to take a few trips down there and familiarize yourself with that market, besides just taking everyone's word.

I would contact the court house and find out the status of your applications first, get your funds and paperwork back second, plan on making a trip in to meet with your manager in person third, if they spend that much time at the court house not doing very good job at managing, as being available in your place is their primary task, you don't say what the problem was with the property you took over but could that be getting in the way?
