Investing isn't about trying to steal a property it's about adding value and entrepreneurship that creates a profit. 

If not, I'll steal you from them with confidence and then, make you sign an exclusive buyers agreement and then threaten to kick you in the shins :) All jokes aside about shin kicking.

If it's an REO, what generally happens when someone steals the key is that another investor will figure out how to get into the house (I'm often that other investor :), and he'll leave a side or back door open for future visitors.So, if you find a house where the key is gone (and it's not privately owned), check to see if any doors or windows are unlocked.

Even if you see two identical looking properties they may be substantially different due to how they were maintained.

Sounds like a lot of listings that come up in my search....I called about showing instructions on one last week and the listing agent just said the front door was open because everything worth stealing had already been stolen.

But the problem is he is only stealing $99 so the charge would not be a felony but then again maybe he is selling stolen property which is worth more LOL I would def go after this person.

No family will buy this place its been on the market for over a year and is surrounded by other duplexes that sell for 220-230k blocks away that I have toured and are nearly identical well if this was converted anyway.
