When looking at the total compensation package, it's important to factor in other costs that may arise from taking the job.

I don't recommend using a lender from California since that state has not simplified their load documents like IL has and the loan package ended up being over 100 pages long!

I will pay 5 to 10k up front to a good civil engineer land planning company for a due diligence package.. 10k up front can save you hundreds of thousands in boo boo's and I would say only 1 in 7 to 10 pass.. so right there you need 70 to 100k a year just in due diligence fees and I am just a little guy.. you can imagine what the big companies spend 100s of thousands to millions. 

So if you can find reliable and detail oriented cleaners in the area that work for you directly then I would say yes you can absolutely self-manage.Supplies for the vacation rental you can Amazon directly to the house and just make sure guests know to set aside packages for the cleaners to open them.
