House hack?

Received $12,000 on the down payment from our 2 year house hack off a FHA loan.

I have used "rental arbitrage" to improve my brother's quality of life and to let him live a real life "house hack" scenario.

I’d like to start by house hacking - looking to buy a duplex/triplex and move out after the first year.

If you willing to relocate (and your current residence will cash flow), you can get a low money down loan on a new residence (ideally a house hack).

. ;) The TLDR is that is it literally built wrong and they clearly knew it was a bad design when they built it and so built in some hacks to mitigate the bad design, but hacks are bad. 

I live in an expensive market (San Diego County) and am currently house hacking by AirBNBing my guest house that pays my mortgage.

That said, buying something you can house hack will still allow you get started for the least amount of money and the first $250K of gains are tax free.Go to local meetups in the areas you are thinking of investing in. 

Im looking for good areas to buy a Multifamily property to utilize the house hack strategy, then start to buy up SFHs.

House hacking in greater Boston is a good way to break in to the market.
