The idea of buying a townhouse for around 120-150K and getting 1500 rent seems appealing but as of now I am all over the place and highly confused.Please feel free to suggest me any neighborhood or any realtors who know the rental  market well that I can contact to get more info.

Louis, Missouri has some pretty high tax rates in certain areas, so I've got a third party company who will take all my properties and appeal their respective tax bills to save me a few bucks. :)No worries on being a beginner!

Auburn is also a major manufacturing and industrial center, together with Kent, there is a ton of business going on that drives up values and rents.I would guess that for the original poster, investing close to home has significant appeal and in that sense, there is almost zero chance of finding a multifamily property for less than $50K/unit in the area.
