Not much improvements since I bought it in November as the winter months makes it difficult to do work without major interruptions.

This keeps people from running the AC and leaving the window open or it saves me in the event of a bad winter.

Im working on buying an older camp in New Hampshire from my Uncle this summer and need to get quotes on winterizing the camp so Im able to rent it out during the winter months.

If your properties are in Texas then I imagine the winter freeze is likely behind the increase in insurance as well.

Lock in the buildings over the winter, if prices go down, for an early spring build. 

I am trying to identify a property in Tucson or Northern Arizona market that would be (1) someplace I would like to have a winter home (2) is a good market for cash-flowing traditional rentals or AirBnb/lVacation homes for snow birds….I am an AZ resident and currently reside in Gilbert, I am intereseted in Tucson because of the amount of time i spend there with all of my family; I can use this as my second home when not rented but northern arizona is apealing simply to get out of the heat.

Is it also near ski mountains, snow mobile trails, other outdoor activities for the winter months?

For me, my BTC mining allows we to heat the 2nd floor of my home during the winter (while making a profit instead of experiencing a cost), get additional exposure to BTC with compounding interest of 4.5% APY via BlockFi, and since I report my mining to the IRS I get to do MACRs on my solar panels (which power my miners and the rest of my house) and the mining equipment as it's a business.

(Yes, the electric bill would be higher in winter months when the heater is needed)After that, I had the roof done redone.This was all a few years back.

Always fun when a heater goes out in the middle of winter with limited parts availability.
