You want to look for members that have the RMP (Residential Management Professional) or MPM (Master Property Manager) designations because those have the most experience, training, and qualifications.

Some of the big box brokerages require new agents to train in person and do floor time (it sucks), etc, etc., but it's not worth it because you pay for their offices in your split and fees.

Also, for me the fact that it is on the bus line and not the train like say Newark or even East Orange makes it one of the least desirable areas to go from a really bad area to a decent area vs. places like those I mentioned. 

I have enough problems with this house already that I think it will serve as good training/experience.

They seem to have a good amount of training (not overwhelming) to help the novice get started.Also, I realize I haven't posted to the forums in some time, so I figured I'd give a little update on what I've been up to in the last 6 months.

Find one that doesn't have a desk fee and only collects their split when a house transfer.You don't care about training or anything like that, right?

Since this is a tax foreclosure, I had to submit my certificate from the Milwaukee Landlord Training class. 

I am amazed at the number if people who want to fly jets before they've taken ground school, flight training or solo'd.Probate is a drawer full of tools that go into your larger tool chest.
