Hey guys,We have the opportunity to pick up a vacant apartment building with 10 units but after talking with many different lenders it seems that nobody is willing to finance a commercial loan on a building that is not producing income.Our plan is to purchase the property, complete a mid/high-end rehab, and begin renting out units as soon as possible.

Invite investors out for coffee and talk to them about what they do.  

We’re actively educating ourselves about real estate investing by reading, listening to podcasts and talking to as many people as we can.

I talked to a bank today and they are saying I would need 3 loans to purchase them and with that would come the costs of 3 loans (which I would prefer not to pay).   

I would love to talk with someone in my area about it.

From your picture you look like maybe 30, so if you want to have this many units by the time you are 50 you are talking about picking up 5 SFHs every year for the next 20 years.

Start talking to mortgage lenders about their requirements and what they need to see from you.

I remember @Brandon Turner talking about how much he liked the vinyl product on one of the podcasts.

When you go to that meeting find some successful to talk to and I hope they did what you want to do.
