Don't use colored ones, not as strong. 

If they decide to paint the walls, they should paint them back to the original color before leaving, or ask you for permission to leave it as is.

Never judge a book by its color.

Probably the trim color. 

The difference is I worked for a small city (less than 50K people) and you work for a REAL fire department—I grew up watching squad 51 and engine 51 on my tiny four-channel color TV, LOL.  

Meyers fla and Lehigh acres and coral gables between the two of those there was almost 1 million lots created in the 50's and they have been sold cheapie over the years.Oh the good ole days...

If ceramic chips, you see the ugly reddish color.

If I was a renter I would not want that color on the walls.
