That's a great way to get access to properties with a lower down payment aka House Hack.

Hello, I'm moving to Minneapolis in mid-October and would love to purchase a home as soon as possible to house hack.

I'm currently in a single family house hack(renting 2 rooms out) and stumbled upon a potential new deal.

I'm looking to house hack a duplex in my local area (Appleton, WI) I don't have a home yet but I have just been pre approved and will begin searching soon, hoping to find and get into a place before March, 2022.

Purchase price: $230,000 Cash invested: $150,000 Sale price: $720,000 Buy and hold duplex that was heavily renovated, house-hacked for a time, and then rented as a furnished rental for years.

I intend to do some flips and I am presently learning other techniques such as the BRRRR method and house hacking.

My wife and I just got our house hack up and running.

You absolutely need to ask a CPA what they think about the  idea and also a lender, but explained the way I did above, I see no reason why there would be an issue.As a side note, have you considered making your first investment a house hack?  

I’m living in a house hack should I have a home warranty ?

I am considering converting my basement with a shower & kitchenette to hack that area as well.
