It's your responsibility to ensure section 8 process their work to make it happen, the landlord did his job and providing you a place to live in a livable condition so there's nothing he could do.If I was in your situation I would go to the section 8 office and start a show everyday and you'll see they will process everything fast.The landlord did his part and he notice your not doing your part and not surprising he will evict and successfully win because nobody has the title to live for free.

We see it on BP every day.. 

I work primarily in Essex county so its hard to really see the progression of the area the same way that I see in a city like Newark, which I'm in everyday.
