Because we are still in a stock market bubble, and your gains will be pretty high there, compared to your entry level real estate investing. 

Fortunately, my six plex has six separate water entries to the building and the city allows six separate accounts.  

I have a SFH in Denver, but like you, I have been seeking buy-and-hold opportunities in the midwest, as the point of entry is lower and the cash flow returns are healthy. 

I love CA (Long Beach, San Diego) but from what I understand, the investment value is much lower in that region than in locations like Dallas, Tampa, or Orlando (lower CAP, job growth, population growth, higher entry costs).  

Perhaps lower entry points may be another with crowdfunding. 

I inspected it and found no obvious signs of forced entry so I suspected it's either vandalism or one of the boys did it.

The first defense is, have a sign in sheet on all persons who come to your property, contractors and etc, no ID no entry policy.

This is just a guess but would areas in Osceola county have an easier price point for entry into the market?
