If not, I would NOT close because you would disqualify yourself from a tax deferred exchange when taking funds in your own name.

I'm a video game designer and I live in Fairfax Virginia.I'd been thinking about switching over some money from stocks to real estate ever since the stock market started going crazy over the virus situation.

I was a financial planner and my thought for securing my retirement was in the stock market, so I was happy that getting my first duplex to offset living expenses for my son made sense but beyond that, I had no other use for investment real estate.  

I'm also a formal mentor to new HomeSmart agents and I show them how to get started in real estate in exchange for a cut of their commission on the first 3 transactions. 

I say that "AC" cannot do the exchange. 

I would normally spread this money over a view real estates and go for the long term, but for short term and having the stock market crashed, I am thinking to go all in there.
