It doesn't make a lot of sense financially to own your property because you are essentially investing 80% of the value of your house at ~2.2% which is the amount you could borrow that money for.Line of credit will run you around ~4% interest rates but you could dip into it whenever you want or pay it off whenever you want so you have a bit more flexibility.This is why Real Estate can be so appealing to invest in because of your ability to leverage your money.Right now in the Edmonton area I've team up with a construction company and together we are buying, renovating and flipping properties.
