I am interested in the answer too, but here is my idea - advertise them.  

Some frequent posters on BP openly advertise this (under a fake screen name like cowards).I would be thankful you are NOT renting from this landlord.

Each one gets a nice metal pen with my advertising. 

If I advertise the double wide rental before we move it, will we be able to count more of the expenses as tax deductions as though it is in service?

I wanted to know bottom line can someone advertise a home they don't own so I sent in a e mail solicitation showing the house bed bath price etc.. including assignment fee. 

Property is a small SFR that had been abandoned for 10 years.

The thing is is street by street. some are really bad and still lots of abandoned housing and others have all of these remodeled homes.

I’m currently renting at $2,500 per month and the other units with higher end upgrades are advertising at $2,700 - $2,800 per month (I have white appliances and carpet, with white tile in the kitchen).
