Perhaps he made a mistake.

Hands down the biggest 'mistake' I've made, since you can never get the time back that could have been multiplied on investments. 

Make no mistake, there will be a recession or depression at some point, but that does not mean it is in the next year or even the next decade.  

I had a tenant who kept trying to come to my house with cash at 5pm on rent day (yes, I was a newbie landlord and made the mistake of giving him my address—never again), put an envelope with cash in my unsecured mailbox, pay check (but please don’t cash until next day), pay late.

I thought I may have made a mistake.

Then again, making a mistake will be even more costly. 

I'm sure there are mistakes where property lines are changed but not documented properly or someone thought the property was only half the size it really is.Would all the correct information about the structures on the property come out during the inspection?

Contractor basically disappeared after receiving all the agreed payment and even more (i know.. the number 1 mistake working with a constructor) Can i somehow make a claim to his insurance?

BUT, the first time or 4 that you do it, you'll make mistakes, have to redo parts, and it will take MUCH longer than you think it will.

You could be waiting a long time - always be buying - thats the key.When prices go up - buy.When prices go down - buy.Over the long term it doesnt matter as eventually they always go up.Trying to time the market is one of the biggest mistakes I see.Daniel Latto
