Hello, I am new to BP and have been reading posts for the past month.I am currently active duty military and set to be relocated in the spring.

It's been a while since I read some books so I'm going to focus on getting re-educated now. 

I've been couch surfing (read: bumming) the last year when I am back in the states, and I am incredibly grateful to my kind friends and family, but I can't tell you how old this is getting for all involved.So I decided to settle a bit for now, and find a reasonable home to live in that allows me to easily cover the mortgage, and at the same time continue to save more, and look for another property to buy and hold.

Remember not to believe everything you read on the internet.

Obviously the price point is dramatically lower than custom ordering to spec but if it's junk I'd rather not be burdened with replacing it again in the near future.Appreciate the feedback, thanks!

I want to share the story with you and ideally get some feedback.

I prepared a lot of documentation and from reading the appraiser's response it does not appear he looked at much of it.  

I read that article, they are good reminders, but not really anything I haven't thought about.

Read the forums too when you have some time.

I want to ask those experienced in California about the best purchase and assignment contracts to use so that we don't run into any legal issues.Any feedback is greatly appreciated.Thanks
